AVG Free Edition is a slightly cut down version of AVG Professional, and it is targeted at home users only, the license agreement requires you to be a home user and the PC must not be used for business purposes. The AVG free license allows you only one installation per household.

AVG Professional:

This version of AVG supports updates via Internet, email technical support, email AVG-UPDATE alerts are available.

License Duration: 2 year license includes virus database and program updates. Registered customers also receive email support and a discounted renewal price at the end of the license period.

AVG Professional with built in firewall:

This version of AVG is effectively the professional version with the addition of the personal firewall protecting you from people trying to hack into your PC via the Internet. The license is valid for 2 years. This is twice as long as Norton and McAfee, you will also receive a discounted renewal price at the end of the 2 year period.
